CHERVUS - HEDSTROM, Betty Arlene (Kremski) passed away May 11, 2016. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E Hill Road, Grand Blanc on June 25, 2016 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. A Graveside Service will follow at Flint Memorial Park, 9506 N Dort Hwy, Mt. Morris. Betty was born to William ‘Bill’ and Louise (Schultz) Kremski on June 15, 1929. On March 1,1946 Betty married Frank ‘Sonny’ Chervus and they spent 40 years together, building their life and raising four children. Betty lost Frank, June 3, 1986. She loved to travel, and after Frank's passing, she visited all fifty states in her RV. She loved her family and friends; she loved life. She never forgot to send a card or well wishes. She was known to many as ‘Mum’, ‘Grandma’, ‘Gigi’ and ‘Aunt Betty’. Betty never met a stranger and had wonderful stories to tell about all the people she had met while traveling. At Church Betty met John Bernard Hedstrom. They married and had many happy years together. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Frank Edward Chervus Jr. and John Bernard Hedstrom. Also preceding her in death were siblings: Ronald Kremski, Margaret Kremski Koppelberger and William ‘Bill’ Kremski, son-in-law Robert J. Evjue and her beloved granddaughter Meghan Kourtney Barrett. Left to cherish Betty’s memory, as well as her many stories, are: Kim Marie Chervus McMorris (David) of Spring, Texas, Karen Chervus Evjue Barrett (Richard) of Huntersville, North Carolina, Rodney Chervus (Teresa) of Versailles, Kentucky and Gary Chervus (Patricia) of Grand Blanc, Michigan as well as her grandchildren Christa McPherson(Russell), Richard Barrett Jr., Morgan Schomer (Nicholas), Spencer Brock (Logan), Sylvia Chervus and Trent Barrett. Great grandchildren: Jordan Prichard, Mason Prichard, Richard Barrett III, Carter Smith, Cory Barrett, and Reagan Brock. Sister Marian Myers, brother in law and sister in law Earl (Georgia) Chervus as well as sister in laws Vicki Endicott and Beatrice Kremski. She will also be remembered by numerous, loving, nieces, nephews and all her many friends.
