

Thomas Carmody, 71, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 and with the grace of God went to live the balance of eternity with the Lord Jesus. He was born in New York City, New York on September 16, 1942 and is a devout Catholic Christian, a parishioner of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL. Tom moved to South Florida in June of 1971 and was a technician for Southern Bell/Bell South/AT&T for 36 years, worked in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Jacksonville and retired in December 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary and eldest brother, Neil. Tom is survived by Jean the loving mother of their children, Bill (Marnie), Mary (Justin), Colleen; granddaughters, Aidan Moira Carmody, Caitlyn Joy Amalong and Bridie Star Carmody; brothers, John and Bart and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 5-7 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
