Lindy Sue Roberts, age 71, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 in the comfort of her home located in The Fairways retirement community. Lindy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. and Sandra A. Roberts.
She was born February 26, 1952, into a second-generation family that moved to Orlando, FL in 1918. She worked in a variety of professions from phlebotomy at Orlando Regional Medical Center to Assistant Box Office Manager with the Orlando Magic to Managing Partner at a privately owned pet grooming business.
Lindy attempted and played many sports, including racquetball, softball, golf and snow skiing. But it was her father, Ed who influenced her love of hunting and fishing. Lindy shared her fishing knowledge and skills with her two nieces, Jessica and Karen. Those who knew Lindy, knew she was happiest on the water and would out- fish anyone. She always knew where to find the fish.
She is survived by her partner of 25 years, Mary Ann Tedesco, her sister, Robin Roberts Handlan and two nieces Jessica and Karen Handlan. Lindy’s extended family includes so many loving cousins who still reside in Central Florida.
She will be cremated at Woodlawn memorial. The family asks that you celebrate Lindy today with a peaceful and warm heart. Announcements on a service will be offered at a later time.
