Sharon Hallock Willman
July 1, 1948 – December 14, 2024
Sharon Hallock Willman, 76, of Apopka Florida, passed away December 14, 2024. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on July 1, 1948, to parents John “Jack” Hallock and Catherine Louise Stansell. Sharon grew up in Orlando FL and graduated from Boone High School. She was in the first graduating class of Florida Technological University (now the University of Central Florida) where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. Sharon pursued her love and passion for children by working tirelessly for nearly 30 years as a teacher for Orange County Public Schools, where she taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering in classrooms where she could continue to spend time helping young children learn. She was a member of the church of Christ at South Bumby in Orlando. She was married to Paul Charles Willman on December 17, 1971. Sharon is survived by her husband Paul, children Susan, John and Katie, daughter-in-law Dawn, and son-in-law Jayme. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Maya, Hannah, Noah, Sarah, and Micah (Susan’s kids), Griffin and Lauren (John’s kids), and her brother Michael F. Hallock and his wife Carol.
More than anything, Sharon loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite hobby was shopping, but she also enjoyed her pets and crafts and talking on the phone with her family and friends. She loved the Smoky Mountains, Washington, D.C., the beach, and Disney World.
Sharon lost her life to lung cancer, which she fought for 3 ½ years. During her final days in hospice, she was surrounded by her family and best friend, Camette “Cami” Crosby. Sharon will be missed, but the memories she built with her loved ones will be cherished forever.
A memorial service will be held on December 19th at 11am with visitation at 10am at:
