Richard Lawrence Smith, 92 of Clermont, Florida passed away on Thursday August 27, 2015. Mr. Smith was born on September 8, 1922 in New York City, New York to the late Frank and Ellen Smith. Mr. Smith retired from the USAF as a Mechanical Engineer. He served in WWII. Mr. Smith retired and moved to Orlando in 1981. After he was settle here in Orlando he decided he wanted to get a part time job that part time job was at Disney World where he became a bus driver picking up guests and taking them into Disney world. This position went from part time to full time and lasted for seventeen years until the time came when he needed to get a pacemaker. Disney would not allow him to drive a bus with a pacemaker. He was so sad because he loved seeing all the happy kids with huge smiles on their faces every day. There were even a few times when some of the guest recognized him as their Uncle Dick that we did not know where visiting Disney World. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son Eugene Smith and his wife Donna Smith, daughter Eleanor Agasar and her husband John Giordano. Mr. Smith also had five grandchildren; Teri Lee Young, Jeremy Agasar, Christa Smith, Kim Smith and Kathryn Smith, there were also three great Grandchildren; Cody Anderson, Dallas Young and Chloe Roberts. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday September 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road Gotha, Florida.
