Richard is survived by his loving spouse, Caroline Bolton Cooper, whom he married in 1955; they were married for 69 years.
Together they raised three children: Scott Cooper (spouse, Beth Cooper), Deri Donnellan (spouse, Jack Donnellan), and Glenn Cooper (spouse, Cheryl Cooper). Richard also leaves behind nine adoring grandchildren and well as 11 loving great grandchildren.
Richard graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1946. He went on to work alongside his brothers in the appliance business, followed by the Foxboro Company and Emanon, before becoming a founding member and President of Control 7, where he dedicated many years before retiring in 1991. In addition to his professional career, Richard also served as a Fire Fighter and as Commander of the American Legion organization, in Plainville, MA.
Richard proudly served in the Army as a Sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division for 2 years and was stationed in Germany. In his free time, he enjoyed hobbies such as golfing, fishing, hunting, and repairing things.
Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous spirit, and love for his family. As the patriarch of his family, he was always sought out by his children and grandchildren for his expertise and wisdom. Outside of his family, he was also respected by his friends and neighbors; Richard was truly a selfless man and always willing out help others.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
