He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 19, 1956. Ralph grew up in Islip, NY and graduated from Islip Highschool. While growing up he was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America and reached the ultimate achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout.
He later moved to Florida where he met Karen Brady. They were married on September 20, 1981.
Ralph was a craftsman in woodworking and took pride in his creations. He enjoyed family time, boating, fishing, shrimping, playing cards, rocket launches and traveling with friends and family.
He is survived by his Wife: Karen Ottaiano; Children: Kimberly Gomez, Susan Holland and Monica Ottaiano; Grandchildren: Alexander Gomez, Brianna Gomez, and Caleb Holland and Sisters: Angela Ullrich and Maria Algeri

A visitation for Ralph will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A celebration of life will occur Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
