She was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 9, 1946 to the late Richard & Filomena (Laddaga) Cacace.
Phyllis and her husband, Lawrence, were introduced on a blind date; and, went on to build a beautiful family together in North Massapequa, Long Island. Family always came first for Phyllis, but others often gravitated to her as well, as she seemed to have the gift of imparting just the wisdom they needed at the time. She loved her family and friends with the food she cooked them, and she reminded them often to keep a good sense of humor through life’s ups and downs.
Along with her influential voice, Phyllis gave her gift of words with a pen…
She published a book of poetry entitled, Journey Beyond the Reflection; and, wrote several novels that remain yet unpublished, but were enjoyed by those close to her.
Phyllis even went back to school later in life and obtained her degree in Criminal Justice.
She continued to make an impact all through the chapters of her precious life, and she will be cherished by those who knew her forever.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Rampulla, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Lawrence Rampulla, Jr.; Richard Rampulla and his wife, Tricia; Christine Murrell, and her husband, Matt; and her loving brother, John Cacace.
While the family has not scheduled any services at this time, a life celebration will be planned for the future.
