PHOOLMATTIE “NALO” UMRAN, 55, of Ocoee, Florida passed away in New Amsterdam, Guyana on January 3, 2013. Nalo was born in Berbice, Guyana to Bhaynoo and Deywatti (Bharat) Persaud. She was in food services at Ocoee High School and enjoyed going out on the casino boats playing the slot machines, computer games and going to church. Nalo is survived by her husband, Mohamed “Buddy” Umran; daughter, Sherry “Farina” Thackurdeen; son, Firoz Umran; mother, Deywatti “Glory” Juggernauth; brothers, Saiso and Roy Persaud; sisters, Dolly Ramroop, Rosey Deena, Nadia Dookhie and only grandson, Dylan; son-in-law, Benjie. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm, Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held from 8am-12pm at the funeral home followed by and additional hour of viewing.
