Pedro Nieves Correa

Pedro was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Epifanio Nieves and Cristina Correa on April 29, 1930. He married Liduvina Alvarez on April 7, 1956 in New York, NY. He worked as a carpenter, custodian and assistant scenographer for several companies for over 42 years. He was a member and involved in the Tabernaculo Asambleas de Dios church in Bayamon for almost 50 years and served as a deacon and board member. He was baptized in the Pentecostal faith on January 1,1967. He enjoyed gardening, wood work, playing dominoes/bingo and travel.

Pedro Nieves is preceded in death by Parents: Epifanio Nieves and Cristina Correa, Siblings: Jose (Pepin) Nieves, Angel Nieves, Candida Nieves, Ciria Nieves, Esperanza Nieves, Rafael Nieves and Alejandro Sanchez.

Pedro is survived by wife, Liduvina Nieves, Sons: Peter James (Becky) Nieves, Melvyn (Anita) Nieves, siblings: Monica Nieves, Carmen (Herminio) Miranda, Luis (Maria) Sanchez, grandchildren: Melvyn Vincent (Carmen) Nieves, Peter Joseph (Melissa) Nieves, Alexander Jay Nieves, Melinda Doris Nieves, Adam (Heather) Nieves. Great grandchildren: Terissa, Evan, Charlotte, Joshua, Mathew, James, Joslynn, Sebastian and Landon Nieves.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL with Jose Sanabria, Spiritual Leader, officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial. Arrangements are by Woodlawn Memorial.

Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
