Paul Earl Christensen

Paul E. was born August 17, 1933 to Paul H. and Adele Christensen in St. Louis, Missouri where he was raised alongside his two sisters, Sissy (Mara Krueger) and Gay (Babbit).

Paul attended the University of Missouri, then started his career with Firestone. He married the love of his life Elizabeth P. Hunter on October 28, 1956 and started his family.

After moving to Orlando, Florida in 1964, Paul founded Action-Gator Tire Store which grew to a chain of 36 tire stores with over 200 employees in Central Florida. A strong work ethic led him to become a true tire legend in the Orlando area. He referred to his employees affectionately as “our tire store family”. You could always find his Christensen family enjoying the lake at his home every Sunday afternoon.

After retiring from the tire business, Paul was extremely involved in his real estate endeavors. Paul’s success in real estate gave him great joy. One of his most favorite pastimes was the time he spent at his family’s beach house in Longboat Key, Florida. Many wonderful family memories were made there.

On August 17, 2023 Mr. C (as some of the younger folk called him) was given a huge 90th birthday celebration, where he had a blast dancing with friends, family, and three of his dedicated nurses.

Paul was extremely devoted to his family. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be forever missed.

Survivors include his children: Frederick L. Christensen Sr., Susan Dill (Hank Walker), Sarah Otto (Tom); his grandchildren: Frederick L. Christensen Jr. (Kim Jordan), Lori C. Franco (Jose), Kelli Babins (Jacob), Kati Dolson (Andy), Cody Christensen, Dustin Dill (Alyssa), Derek Dill (Becca); his great-grandchildren: Tomas Franco, Mckenzi Babins, Knox Dill, Cooper Dill, Addie Dill; his niece, Christen “Chrissy” Boals and his four fantastic nurses, Eva Moore, Terry Kirumba, Marcella Calhoun, and Heather Kane.

There will be a private family burial followed by a celebration of life at Seasons 52, 7700 W Sand Lake Rd. Orlando, FL 32819 between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Memorials may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
