In her youth, lived and completed schooling in New York.
Her caring nature compelled her to enter nursing school at Columbia University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Her natural ability and her gift of comprehension led her to the University of California, San Francisco where she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing Education.
Her loyalty to family lead her back to New York and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center where she practiced as a Nurse Specialist.
There she met and captivated a young surgical resident who immediately and spontaneously decided that she would be his bride.
Owen and Maureen were married on June 11, 1977 and quickly settled into the Orlando area.
Their prayers would be answered beyond their dreams when they were blessed with their daughter, Elyse.
All along the way Maureen had the deserved good fortune of having choices. She chose love and dedication and stayed home to give Elyse all the love she possessed.
Later in life she chose to care for her aging and ailing parents.
Maureen always saw everyone's glass as more than half full and if it wasn't she would empty her glass, knowing that it would be replenished because of her generosity, her faith, and her loving kindness.
Her choices paid off in love, respect, gratitude, and peace.
Maureen endured medical and surgical challenges for many years until, in spite of her brave courageous fight she relented and answered the call of her maker at 8:26 AM on Tuesday March 13, 2018.
Those who knew her well know where her spirit is gone.
It has gone to a beautiful height prepared for a Cherobic soul.
