Marinda Dorr

Marinda Raby Dorr beloved wife and mother, went home to be with her Lord on January 7, 2014 at home in Windermere, Fl. Born December 8, 1964 in Pensacola Florida she is the daughter of the late Edsel and Betty Raby. Marinda graduated from Leon High School, Tallahassee Fl in 1982 and received a BS in Management from the University of West Florida in Pensacola. There she met the love of her life, Charlie Dorr, her husband of 22 years. Together they lived in Winter Haven, Florida before relocating to Windermere, Florida in 2001. Professionally she worked as a manager & trainer for Burdines department stores.

Marinda loved her Lord and was a member of First Baptist Windermere where she was active within her Home Group ministry. She also received much joy from her commitment to K-Life Orlando. She worked tirelessly and lovingly in all her children’s activities. PTA’s, classroom mom, chaperone, sports mom, scout mom or whatever was needed, she was there. Her friends adored her for her laughter and compassion.

Most of all, she loved and enjoyed spending time with her husband and children. In addition to her husband, Charlie, Marinda is survived by her children, Avery, Blake and Carlyn all of Windermere. She is also survived by her brother, Clark Raby of Live Oak, Fl, her sister, Ava Lee of Tallahassee and 5 loving nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday January 11, 2014 at First Baptist Windermere Lakeside Campus located at 8464 Winter Garden Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32836, immediately followed by a reception.
