She is survived by her brother Greg Hill, daughter Cynthia Farrand (and Allen) and son Stephen Layne (and Amy). She has two grandsons, Maverick and Alexander Layne.
She was an incredibly hard worker who instilled a great work ethic onto her children. She had many different careers over her lifetime. If she was interested in a particular field or career, she would pursue it and master it. She won various awards over her lifetime including many sales awards in Florida and also was voted the best pie maker in the Triple Cities in the Southern Tier of New York three years in a row. She was strong willed, energetic and incredibly loving. Although she only had two children, lots of people called her “Ma”. She made and kept friendships from all of her careers. Lynette did not suffer fools or liars and was always teaching us lessons and setting the example. It’s entirely possible that she preferred the company of dogs to people. She loved to bake, to eat and to travel having visited 11 countries some more than once. Her best friend Steve Choiniere was at her side when she passed and for that we will be eternally grateful. My brother and I hope that she is with our grandparents eating whatever she wants and travelling to all the countries that were still on her list.
