Loretta Hill, passed peacefully on the 21st of July at her home in Howey-in-the-Hills Florida. She was surrounded by her family, loved ones and the caring team of Cornerstone Hospice.
Born in 1928 in Charleston WV, Loretta was a machine operator, loving mother and wife of Clarence Hill, a disabled WWII veteran. She was a deeply religious and kind woman who believed in the power of helping others and giving back to her community.
Loretta was a fiercely independent woman who took great joy in tending to her home and garden. She also loved to tell stories and share bits of wisdom she had learned throughout her long and beautiful life.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband Clarence Hill in 2001, but has left a large and loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived her children Billy Hill and wife Michelle of Ocala FL and June Milling and husband Charles of Astatula FL.
Loretta’s grandchildren include Tracy Hill of Tennessee, Shane Hill with wife Michelle and children Tanner and Taylor of Orlando, FL, Michelle Milling and children Jada and Richie of Orlando, FL, Steven Winkelman and husband Timothy of Chicago, IL. and Heath Schepman Hill of Umatilla, Florida.
Services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial in Gotha Florida. The viewing will be Sunday, July 27 from 5:00-7:00pm. Service will be held Monday, July 28 at 10:00am. Pastor Jay Thompson will be conducting the service.
The family asks that donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice in lieu of flowers.
