Linda A. Byrd, 78, of Orlando Florida, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ann Kellam. Linda was predeceased by her first husband Ernest Whittle and her beloved son Craig Steven Whittle. She is survived by her husband, James S. Byrd, and her beloved daughter Stacey Whittle, of Los Angeles, CA., stepchildren Pat Byrd, Linda Byrd Portmann, and Jim Byrd, Jr., all of Orlando, grandchildren Whitney Grutz, James Byrd III, and Riley Portmann, and great grandchild Cayson Grimes.
Linda is also survived by brothers; Frank (Maria) Kellam, St. Louis, MO., Charles (Shirley) Kellam, Binghamton NY., sisters; Kathryn (Edwin) Allison, Binghamton, NY., Nancy (Glenn) Furth, Plano, TX., and many nieces and nephews.
Linda’s artistic nature was evident in her personal style and love of design in her home and surroundings. Linda loved to eat out, dance, and have fun with her husband and friends at the Bahia Shrine. She enjoyed family gatherings, always with a big smile and wonderful sense of humor.
Linda worked for many years for the Chenango Forks School District, as a Librarian’s assistant. In that capacity and as a parent, she touched the lives of many of the students and friends of her children.
