He was born on March 26, 1926, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky to the late David F. Brown and lena Francis Coke Brown.
Lee served his community as a career service person, military instructor, builder of lasers, and electrician. In his free time, he loved all sports except soccer, excelled as an amateur boxer, golfer, watch maker, Little and Senior League umpire, gardener of flowers and vegetables, created doll furniture, and could repair almost anything.
In the military, Lee was stationed in Taiwan, Japan, and numerous locations stateside. He retired to Orlando, Florida after 23 years of military service. While serving on The SS Houston during WWII, the ship was sunk in the battle of Sunda Strait, on March 1, 1942, leaving them surrounded by sharks and oil for 48 hours before they were rescued. Also during WWII, he participated in operation ‘Gherkin' -- the British overall plan for the defense of Iran (1942/44). An avid reader and lifelong learner.
