Lam, Kenneth Owen, age 69 of Monteverde passed away suddenly on November10, 2015. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 17, 1946 and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Florida. He had a 36 year career at Lockheed Martin and retired as the Director of Finance for Strike Weapons in January 2011. Ken had a playful wit and he was generous and kind to a fault. He was
predeceased by father Kenneth R. Lam and nephew Ronnie Scrimo. He is survived by his loving companion Pam Lego, mother Dorothy Lam Weidenmiller
(Bob) and sisters Susie Westerhoff (Robin Pence) and Jeanne Keeney (Sean) , Pam's daughters Stephanie Taylor (Alan), Erika Hoglund (Vance), grandson
Vincent Hoglund and Pam's mother Helen Burns, nieces Gwen Anderson, Karen Slaydon, Sharon Porter, nephews Tommy Aldrich and Michael Kittle, along
with many grand nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. Ken had time to help everyone, whether it was shopping with Pam for her
mother Helen's needs or driving across town to take Vincent to a dentist appointment. Ken's mother Dorothy was also never far from his thoughts, or
his sisters Susie and Jeanne for that matter. His love for his mother however showed through in every way. After the loss of his Father, Ken
looked after Dorothy to be sure all was in order. But Ken was most devoted to Pam. When work permitted, they were always together tending to household
or family matters. Ken enjoyed tennis, and this is how he and Pam met as tennis partners, sports cars and spending time with his family and friends.
Ken loved to be the host of family holidays, whether Easter, Mothers Day or Thanksgiving. "Grandpa Ken" was also devoted to Vincent as they enjoyed
weekends with movies and video games. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 22nd from 12-1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow
1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Gotha.
Please join Ken's family at his home in Montverde for a post-funeral reception following the service until 6:00 pm. For more information or to leave a special message for the family please visit www.woodlawnfuneralhomegotha.com
