Karen Helen (Harper) Rumbley, 67 years old, resided in Winter Garden, Florida and passed away on August 20, 2023. She was born on March 1, 1956, in Norwood, Pennsylvania. She spent most of her life in the pursuit of knowledge and loved to share her learning with others as a Professor of Humanities at Valencia College for nearly 25 years. Some of her favorite hobbies included tanning at the pool or beach, shopping for great deals, dining out, watching Jeopardy and Christmas movies/shows, listening to Christmas music all year long, spending quality time with friends & family, and turning every holiday into a family event, especially Christmas! Karen will always be remembered as a kind, generous, and loyal woman who consistently put the needs of others first. She loved her children and grandson more than anything else in this world and lived her life to see them happy and content. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hallam Harper and Helen Kulick, as well as her former husband Mitchell W. Rumbley III. She is survived by her older brother, Gary Harper; daughter Nicole Diaz-Rumbley; son Nathan Rumbley and his wife Jennifer; and her grandson Tristan Rumbley.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida.
We will be celebrating Karen’s life with a memorial service held on Friday September 8, 2023 at 11:00 am.
