He was born in New Brunswick and was raised in South River, the youngest of nine children.
Joe graduated from South River High School where he was a member of the track and baseball teams.
He loved ice hockey and with his brother Ed, played on several teams Joe was a sports fanatic always cheering on the New York Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys.
He recieved his Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Advent Health University. He went on to earn a Masters of Science in Nursing / Family Nurse Practioner from Chamberlain University.
Joe started his Nursing career at South Lake Hospital in Clermont. He was with Advent Health Orlando Flight Medicine/Flight 1 Program for many years. Most recently he was a Nurse Practioner at Advent Health Medical Group Family Medicine at Mount Dora.
Joe is predeceased by his father, John, his siblings, Anne Marie and Ed and his nephew John Perry.
Surviving are his beloved and devoted wife, Amy; his children, Christopher, Ava and Abigail; his mother Anne; his six siblings; his in-laws; so many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and cousins. Also surviving are a multitude of colleagues, co workers and friends that too numerous to be named.
Joe loved you all.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Church Orlando, 2300 Pembrook Drive, Orlando, FL 32810. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2300 Pembrook Drive, Orlando, FL 32810. A committal service will occur Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
