Jeanette was born in Hardeeville, South Carolina on November 13, 1924. She was the baby girl of the late William Henry Catterton and Sarah Rosella Cook Catterton. Jeanette comes from a large family with six (6) siblings that preceded her in death, Thelma Jenness (2012), Clarence E. Catterton (1971), Carrie Getsinger (2012), Eunice Funderburk (2020), Florrie Nettles (2016) and Marvin Catterton (1966). These siblings were undeniably an amazing close-knit group that truly supported and loved each other in the ways God intended.

Jeanette graduated from Ridgeland High School in May 1942 and set out to seek employment.

WWII was in full force. Her oldest sister Thelma, who had moved from Ridgeland to Charleston S.C. at that time, was working in the Quartermaster's office providing significant military supplies for the troops at Fort Moultrie. She helped to secure a job for Jeanette, who later moved to work for The United States postal service at the Citadel. Jeanette met Bernard (Bernie) Frank Morse while he was a Marine Drill Instructor at Parris Island, South Carolina. At this time. Public Transportation (buses) was the main form of transportation. Bernie was transporting his troops from Charleston SC, back to Parris Island. After work, Jeanette and her sister boarded the bus to go home, when this arrogant Marine Drill Instructor commandeered the bus for his military troops and demanded all civilians disembark. Of course, Jeanette refused. And that's how it all began.

Jeanette and Bernie were married on February 27. 1946. Soon, they moved from South Carolina to Bernie's home State of Michigan. They moved around that state following his employment.

Eventually, they traveled to different states, New Jersey, Missouri, Kentucky and finally in 1970, Orlando Florida, where they built a beautiful brick home on the lake and remained until her passing. However, Jeanette always tried to make the trip back home to Ridgeland SC every summer to be with her Mother, brothers and sisters. Jeanette and Bernie were married 56 years, until he passed, January 17, 2001.

Jeanette, not only a stunning, physically beautiful woman, she was just that incredibly beautiful on the inside. She loved her life, truly loved being a Wife, Mother, and Stay at Home Mom. She lived life correctly, she saw the good in people and always treated people with that Southern Lady Sweet Charm full of kindness that just warmed your heart. Jeanette was truly happy in her Heart.

Jeanette is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Ziomek and Rosemarie Wilder also of Orlando, Florida; her Granddaughter Sherri Ingle (Tony) of Orem, Utah; her Step Grandchildren Melissa Parker of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, Sarah Ragsdale (Jake) of Geneva, Florida; Jon Wilder, Jr., (Cassie) of Palm Coast, Florida; and seven (7) Great Grandchildren.
