James "Jim" Wallace Gillies, Jr., 85, of Zellwood, Florida passed away on March 24, 2011 at his home. He was the only son of James Wallace & Aida Jeanette (Williams) Gillies, Sr., born on May 6, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the founding father of Share-A-Homes of America here in Central Florida. He was a member of Woodlands Lutheran Church in Monte Verde. Mr. Gillies enjoyed gardening and had a deep faith as he read his bible daily. He is preceded in death by his wifes, Wanda Gillies and Dorothy Gillies and daughter, Joselyn Marilee Dury. Survivors include his daughters and their husbands, Wanda (Harvey) Rench, Deborah Irene (Charles "Bingo") Johnson and Cynthia Jane Gillies (Tim Schoonard) Gorskey; twelve grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jason Dury, Ronnie Harrison, Danielle Cooper, Jeremy and Matthew Johnson, Robbie and Amanda Haycraft, Shaun Gorskey, Bryan and Brad Schoonard and Michael Clark and thirteen great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, followed by interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
