JAMES ROSS CAPPS, of Windermere, FL, passed on to brighten the heavens with his jovial spirit and kind, loving heart on March 13th, 2013, at the age of 86. Born in White's Creek, TN, one of 13 children to Larry Foster Capps and Rosa Elizabeth Owens. Jim was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 61 years and a dear, devoted friend to all. He is survived by his wife Edith M Gentry Capps, two daughters Terri L Capps Schlundt and Debra A Capps Julian, his 4 grandsons Walker C., Walden B., and Westley K. Schlundt, and Christopher D. Julian, his great granddaughter Edith G. Schlundt, and his sister Louise Doss. Jim served his country for 5 years in the Merchant Marines prior to meeting his wife, and retired after 25 years of loyal service to The Sherwin Williams Co. followed by several years of residential construction. He worshipped at South Bumby Church of Christ and served as a very active member encouraging others to become Christians and work for the Lord. He always had a smile and a joke to brighten every moment and was always willing to assist others in anyway. Beyond his loving devotion to family and friends, one of his proudest missions was supervising the construction of the church building at 3940 S. Bumby Ave., Orlando, FL 32806, where services will be held on March 23rd 2013. Open viewing 10AM, service at 11AM, burial following at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL.
