Helen Curtis Meyer, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2012, in Mascotte, Florida. She was born on June 4, 1921 in Washington, DC to Norbert and Geraldine Albert. She was married to Robert “Bob” Meyer, in Orlando, Fl., for the past 14 years. She worked as an accountant for many different companies during her life time. She enjoyed beading, quilting, traveling, cooking, bowling, and Elvis.
She is survived by her husband; her children, Barbara (and her husband, Terry) Manning, of Florida, William Curtis, of Maryland, and Clark (and his wife, Linda) Curtis, of Maryland; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends, and the members of her church family at South Lake Christian Church.
Visitation for Helen will be on Friday, September 14, 2012, from 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fl.; 407-293-1361). The funeral service will be on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 11 am, at South Lake Christian Church (19455 Villa City Road, Groveland, FL 34736; 352-429-3400), with internment at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 2 pm.
