I would like Mr. Naumann’s family to know, I think I found one of his small paintings in a secondhand shop in NY and liked it so much I brought it home to hang on my wall. I hope he would like to see his work still being admired. 💚

I was a neighbor to Candy & Hans in Cynthiana, Kentucky in
May of 1972.  Hans had just finished a painting "Santissima
Trinidad" -fought at Trafalgar.  He  graciously framed the canvas for me.  It is  signed HN .  Please accept my condolences in the passing

I have just had my Christmas card to Dutch returned by the postal services, and found out from the internet that he has died.  All my sympathies go to his son.  I met Candy and Dutch in the 1950s in England, when Dutch was posted to USAAF Chicksands.   Typically, they had chosen not to live on base, but took an apartment in the nearby town of Hitchin.  They were delighted to live in a foreign country, and took every opportunity to meet people and to get around. To a teenager, they seemed amazingly glamorous!  My dad remembered to his dying day the sight of Candy in her scarlet Capri pants cycling up the road.  My family always kept in touch with Candy and Dutch, and saw them often when they returned to England.  Dutch was a man of amazingly wide interests.  He was an easy person to choose a postcard for if you were on vacation - an old ship!  His interest in art was very deep, and he was delighted when I took up drawing and painting after my retirement.  His last gift to me was a beautifully illustrated book of 18th century etchings of Scottish landscapes.  I shall treasure that book, and with it all the happy memories I had of both Candy and Dutch over many years.

I have just found out about Dutch's passing. He was a friend of my parents and a friend of mine. I met Candy and Dutch in England in the mid 1950's. I was about 8 years old. I "remet" Candy and Dutch in 1972. My husband and I went to visit them in Spain in May 1974. They then came to England in August 1974 where we became friends again! I kept in touch with Candy and Dutch and visited them several times through the years in FL. Because I could not reach him by phone, I Googled hime and found that he passed in October. He was one of the greatest persons I have know and have the pleasure of having several of his paintings in my home. Our son also have several in his home. He will be really missed. Now he is with Candy his dear wife, whom I considered a second mother. Loved them both so much. Michael you do no know me but Candy and Dutch talked of you often. So sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting Dutch.  My sister is married to his son Michael and they both spoke of him often. 
I have seen his paintings and  by seeing his ability to put such wonderful works on canvas he had to of been a warm and loving person. 
My thoughts are with his family and friends. 
He had a good life and now he is with his good wife.
