Frank Joseph Rizzo, Jr.

Frank J Rizzo Jr, 81, of Ponce Inlet, FL, formerly of McMurray, PA, passed away on Sunday, Sept 1st. He is survived by his 3 sons, Bill (Tracey), Brian (Missy-dec. 2017), and Jeff (Lisa); and his 5 grandchildren, Callie, Reilley, Rymer Jean, Franklin, and Mackenzie. The son of Frank J. Rizzo, Sr and Rosella Rizzo, Frank was born in Castle Shannon in 1942, and had 2 older sisters, Nancy (Joe Furgiuele) and Rosemarie (John Parse). Frank went to High School at South Catholic (Seton LaSalle), then studied Metallurgical Engineering at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon), and got his Masters in Engineering at The University of Pittsburgh. For most of his career, Frank worked at Crucible Compaction Metals. Frank had many patents in metallurgy as accomplishments. Frank was known as Pap pap and Pappy to his grandchildren, and his favorite thing to do was to watch them play soccer. He never missed a chance to cheer them on. Frank also was a dog lover and even bred Bichon Frisées for many years. Bella was his favorite. Frank was also a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan. The Steelers were his favorite team and the sports highlight of his life was attending Super Bowl XLIII with his 3 sons! Frank is preceded in death by the Love of his Life, Gloria. His Love for Gloria was eternal and they are now reunited. Frank's Funeral Mass will be Friday, Sept 13 at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, FL.
