Francis Joseph Ruzicka

Francis Ruzicka (Fran) 95 of Orlando, Florida passed away on February 28, 2024. He was born in Flint, Michigan on May 11, 1928 to the late Frank and Mabel (Braley) Ruzicka. Fran graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School. He married his sweetheart, Eleanor Schummer on August 14, 1965.

Fran worked in the automobile industry as a truck driver, hauling Buicks on a semi to the Midwest and South states. He retired to Florida where he enjoyed many hobbies including playing cards and games, bowling, golfing, working in his yard and gardening, and he was an excellent cook. Fran loved life, he had a wonderful sense of humor and was quite the “jokester”!

He is already greatly missed…

Fran was preceded to heaven by his wife Eleanor, and granddaughter Ashley Marie Edwards. He is survived by his daughter Roxanne Edwards (Stephen Edwards), grandchildren Stephen Edwards ll (Annie Edwards), and Lexie Burke (Brouklyn Burke), great-granddaughters Harper Edwards and Harleigh Burke, and grandson Owen Edwards, and sister Rosemary O’Dell.

Please join us in Celebrating Fran’s life with Visitation on March 7 from 10-11am, and funeral service at 11am at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
