Agoes, Faye 92, of Orlando received her angel wings on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Born September 16, 1922 in Concord, NC to the late Wade H and Lucy R Cook. She received her education from the University of North Carolina and held a Graduate Certificate from the American Institute of Banking. She started her career with SunTrust Banks (formerly the First National Bank of Orlando) in 1947. In 1976 she was appointed Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer and was the first woman in the SunTrust Bank System to have held this position. She also volunteered her time for over 40 years to the Orlando Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and many local and national organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. She is survived by her son William Macguire; and many nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando on Saturday, January 24 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers please send donation to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
