It seems as though it was yesterday that I saw you…Five years and it’s still hard to believe…You are always being thought about and loved in the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.  I sometimes look down the street for the porch light… That was our signal for me to know when you’re going to bed or when you’ve gotten up in the morning.  Mike, Ernest and myself always talking about how much of a great neighbor you were. You were a breath of fresh air and full of life! Thanks for being a part of our lives!

I think of you often whenever I see a beautiful butterfly gracefully flying in my path! You were one of the first neighbors that welcomed me to the neighborhood. Your have always had a burst of energy and was always smiling. After four years it’s still hard to believe. Ernest and I speak of you often. I remember when you invited me to one of your friends Christmas parties. We had a blast! Thanks for being a great neighbor to so many on our Street.

When I moved in the neighborhood in “95”; Ms. Elaine was one of the first people that welcomed me in by inviting me to a party. She danced all night until I was the one that was tired! That was her joyful spirit and she let it be known every where she went. She wasn’t a stranger to anyone! Although she was one for going places and having fun and making memories; if her hair wasn’t on point; she would not want to go...I would say, you’ll be okay, just brush it back and pin it up and she would always tell me to let her know when the next event would be - because her hair had to be on point...so I just left it at that...she was a strong minded lady.  She loved her family! Life is but a vapor, but memories last forever! God Blessings to the family. 

I met Aunt Elaine shortly after meeting her nephew, my husband Cliff, and she immediately welcomed me to the family.   She always impressed me with her zest for life.  She danced with us until we were out of breath and whooped our butts in dominoes.  Her memory will live on in our hearts, and in her rum cake.  I love you Aunt Elaine!

Elaine is survived by Jasmine, Christopher, Glenda, Maxine, Daphne, Lauren ( her niece and caregiver) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
