Dorothy "Dotty" Patterson Lewis, 90, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 12th, 2014. Born on July 31st, 1924 to Clarence & Lula Rensel in Butler, PA, Dotty inherited the family gene for sewing. An expert seamstress, she built her own 15-year commercial tailoring business called Kopy Kats. From awnings, to boat covers, to doing repair work on the jackets of the Orlando Fire Department. "Anything in Canvas!" was her motto. In her free time, Dotty played a mean game of poker, bridge, and bowled in a league.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Patterson; after his death, her late husband, William Lewis; her brother, Ralph Rensel; and her sister, Betty Klein. Dotty is survived by her loving children, Thomas LeRoy Patterson and Diane Ferrell; brother, Keith Rensel; 3 admiring grandchildren; and 2 beloved great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Satuday, August 16th, 2014 at 10:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
