She was born in Melvindale, MI , and moved to FL in 1974. Doris was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. In 1995, she became a breast cancer survivor.
Doris was a stubborn, strong, and independent woman who was outspoken and made no bones about giving her opinion. She always remained devoted to friends and family.
Doris is survived by her loving family, son William (Michigan), daughters Donna (Florida) and Melody (Florida); three grandchildren Adam (Michigan), Aaron (Washington DC), and Chelsea (Texas); two great grandchildren, Jenna (Michigan) and Olivia (Washington DC).
A visitation for Doris will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
