husband of 60 years, Wayne E. Parks, three daughters, seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Donna was born in Hamilton, Ohio, in 1942 and raised on the family farm in Camden, Ohio,
which her family homesteaded 200 years prior. She won numerous awards from 4-H for cooking
and sewing as a teen and was Miss Betty Crocker in 1960, which led to a scholarship in Home
Economics from Ohio State.
In 1972, Donna moved to Miami, Florida, and eventually settled in Leesburg, where she was a
real estate broker with her own office, Parks Realty, Inc.
Donna was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. She also was a
member of the Social Order of the Beaucent, Daughter of the Nile, and Order of the Rainbow
Girls. She was the Mother Advisor for Rainbows in Ohio and Florida receiving the Rainbow
Grand Cross of Honor from Rainbow Girls of Ohio.
Perhaps, the proudest accomplishment was in being a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.
As she said, “My babies were my life.” She was an active part of her children and
grandchildren’s lives and will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Susan Crowley, Donna
Lack, and Peggy Hall; her grandchildren Joseph Garone, Jr., Christina Lack, Benjamin Crowley,
Cadee Hall, Dylan Lack, Patrick Crowley, and Janee Hall, as well as her two greatgranddaughters
Gissel and Isabel Garone.
