Debbie was born on October 18 to Roger and Patricia (Schmidt) Churchill in Janesville, Wisconsin. Janesville is home to her early memories of family holidays, Sunday dinners, and where she met her loving husband Charles Stanfley whom she married on April 19, 1986.
Meeting through the Rock Aqua Jays Waterski Team, the couple continued to be active members in the club where they created memories and many of their lifelong friends. Between creating hundreds of memorable costumes, running the kitchen during national tournaments, and participating in every Haunted Halloween Hayride, she was always there to lend a helping hand.
After moving to Orlando Florida with Charles and her two girls Audra and Emilee in 1995, Debbie became heavily involved in the community. Always there to give of herself, Debbie was a staple in the girl’s schools. Whether it was creating costumes and decorations for school musicals or events or volunteering her time within the PTA, she was one of those Moms who was everyone’s Mom.
She was a creative soul who loved being crafty, crocheting, and sewing and oftentimes would be found spending her evenings creating little gifts to brighten the lives of those around her. Her fur babies Dallas, Delilah, Zoey and Ginger had a special place in her heart all of whom she rescued because every creature deserves a loving home. Her love of the Florida sunshine led to many days enjoying the local theme parks, laying in the sun at the beach reading her new favorite book or having a backyard cookout with family.
She lived with love and laughter, doing anything in her power to make people around her smile and feel loved. She would give you the shirt off her back, listen to you endlessly, and support you in every way she knew how. Smiling at everyone because you never knew who needed it and paying it forward just because, she was an example to all those who knew her how to live life with a selfless spirit.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Roger Churchill. She is survived by her husband, Charles Stanfley, two daughters, Audra Stanfley and Emilee (Ben) Picard, mother Patricia Churchill, siblings Brett (Shelley) Churchill, Linda (JR) Wilson, Jody Ripley and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to the current climate with Covid-19 memorial services in Orlando, Florida and Janesville, Wisconsin will be announced at a later date.
