Constance Sharon Miller “Cookie” Mann was born on February 18, 1937 to Charles Edwin and Mary Coffman Miller in Paris, Illinois. She flew to the arms of Jesus on September 20, 2024, at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Fl.
Sharon moved to Florida in 1954 and graduated from Edgewater High School. She worked at Patrick Air Force Base until she married Robert Ray Mann on December 21, 1956. Being in the Air Force, they moved several times including San Antonio and Lubbock, Texas; Tuscan, Arizona, Newfoundland, and Germany. They moved back to Orlando in August of 1965.
They raised two children, Mary Teresa Mann (1/8/58 - 6/3/1998) and Edwin Ray Mann (6/26/61). She was married to Robert 64 years, 4 months and 1 day.
Sharon worked for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years as a teletype dispatcher. She also owned a restaurant in Kissimmee- “Parson’s Table Buffet”.
She was a foster parent to 14 babies, and was a grandmother to three wonderful children - Bobby, Tommy and Becky and great-grandmother to ten grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter.
A memorial service will be held at West Orlando Baptist Church on Sunday, September 22nd at 6:00PM where she was a charter member since 1971, conducted by Rev. Kenric Barnett and Rev. Tommy Mann.
