Charles graduated from Plant City High School. He married Dorothy Carlisle June 2, 1952, in Kingsland, Georgia, and was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955.
For 50 plus years, he was an electrician with IBEW 606. Charles lived in Orlando from 1955-1980 then moved his family to Apopka in 1980. He enjoyed family, traveling, and gardening. You could see him in his golf cart every day.
Charles is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Kim (Randy), and son Robbie (Sonia), grandchildren Kurtis Henson, Justin Barrett (Katie) and great granddaughter Skyler Barrett. He is predeceased by granddaughter Kelli Henson.
Services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30 (viewing at 11am, service at 12pm). His legacy of life will be remembered lovingly by all who knew him.
