Carlos Josef Adam Rodriguez, a resident of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away on July 3, 2024, to be reunited with the Lord. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on October 11, 1989, he was the beloved son of Jorge and Monika Rodriguez, and brother to Cindy Castillo (Rodriguez). Shortly after his birth, the Rodriguez family moved to Florida, where they have lived ever since.
A true gift—Carlos was one of the sweetest humans on this earth—loved life, people, and animals. He especially adored his family and close circle of friends. Carlos enjoyed going to races at Freedom Factory with his father, Jorge, and appreciated meaningful walks and heart-to-heart conversations with his mother, Monika. No matter the circumstance, they showed the most unconditional love. He looked up to his big sister, Cindy. She loved him tremendously, and they shared a strong-unspoken sibling bond. Carlos brought immense joy to Cindy as she always dreamt of having a younger brother. Even as an adult, he valued her guidance and reveled in the company of his three young nephews who always viewed him as their playful and fun uncle. Their visits were filled with laughter, playful roughhousing, and friendly competitions in nerf wars and video games. Like a good uncle, he’d let them win.
Carlos was truly a riot, wasn't he? It's undeniable that the tales about him always resulted in uproarious laughter that left you breathless. His sharp wit and spontaneous humor were evident, like when he playfully ribbed his brother-in-law for his buff physique, quipping that he was the way he was because he "only ate hotdogs, no carbs"—all while putting on an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent. His deep love and admiration for his parents were unwavering, considering them to be his rock and untiring supports. Carlos embodied dedication, loyalty, and love that knew no bounds, showing these same qualities in all his relationships. Even in dire times, he could light up the room with a smile, crack a joke or two, and envelop you in the warmest bear hug imaginable.
His focus was always on aiding others. Carlos, an entrepreneurial spirit, aspired to establish a non-profit organization in the future to support those in need. He had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved pets Milo and Layla, who always brought him joy. His passion for horticulture drove his desire to someday own land in the countryside to cultivate plants and care for animals.
Carlos was preceded in death by his grandparents Elvira Rodriguez (Paternal), Rafael Rodriguez (Paternal), Hilde Wolf (Maternal), and Reinhold Wolf (Maternal). He is survived by his devoted parents Jorge and Monika Rodriguez, his sister Cindy Castillo, brother-in-law Mike Castillo, and nephews Michael, Gabriel and Nicholas Castillo.
“Absent from the body, present with the Lord,” (2 Corinthians 5:8). We ask the Lord to embrace his tender spirit and heal all that is broken. Carlos, our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, and friend…until we meet again.
