Barbara Deveau

Born July 7, 1947 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Mae) Perrault (Small). She was a 1965 graduate of East Longmeadow High School and former employee of SunTrust Bank and Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Barbara married her childhood sweetheart, John Deveau, on September 3, 1964. They enjoyed 56 years of wedded bliss and were genuinely best friends.

Some of her favorite things included spending time at the beach, reading, and playing mahjong. Barbara especially treasured spending quality time with her family and friends. She was a free spirit, the life of the party and loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, John, she will be missed by her loving daughter Traci, son John, and grandson Matthew, all of Orlando, FL (previously of Springfield MA); in addition to siblings Carole Perrault, Dawn Smith and longtime partner Donald Richardson, Richard Perrault and wife Dina; sister-in-law Jeanie Hall and her husband Larry; several nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends. Besides her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her beach pal and sister, Lynne Albano.

A private Catholic Mass and burial will be celebrated by family members only due to the COVID-19 pandemic and local social distancing restrictions.
