Austin Daniel Gayne, 24, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on February 26, 2021, at Orlando Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained while working on the highway, due to a driver who failed to slow down and move over. (SDMO)
Austin was born on March 8, 1996 in Ormond Beach, FL. He graduated from Haywood Community College with an Associate’s degree in Business Administration in 2017. Austin loved being a “daddy” and spending time with his children. He loved fast cars, rotators, spending time with friends and any type of water: ocean, lake, river, pool, or hot tub.
Austin was born into the towing industry and was currently working with Johnson’s Wrecker Service in Orlando, FL. His fellow drivers will carry his chains from here.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jean Morford. Austin is survived by his parents, Danny Gayne and Brooke Lawrence, his girlfriend, Jamie McLaughlin, her daughter Madilynn and their two sons, Cash and Bentley, his maternal grandparents, Ted and Orbina Lawrence and paternal grandfather, Dick Gayne. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers; Alexis, Chris, Samantha, William (BA), and Kimberly. Austin will also be missed by his nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Austin’s visitation Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5-7PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home and to participate in his funeral service beginning at 7PM. A celebration of Life will be held in North Carolina on March 7, 2021 at The Harrell Center at 710 N Lakeshore Dr, Lake Junaluska NC from 2-4pm. Tow truck procession from NC state line to service.
Austin would have turned 25 on Monday, March 8, 2021, those wishing to celebrate with him can release a single yellow balloon for him on that day.
