Born to Charles and Angelina Vitale in Brooklyn New York, Andy was the oldest of three sons. He married his wife Linda June 22, 1961 while in the Army Reserves. Andy and Linda relocated to Florida where they raised two sons. He eventually joined the Pembroke Pines Police Department where he worked his way up through the ranks retiring at the rank of Commander. Andy’s choice to serve his community resulted in over 150 years of service to the policing profession by his family with his brothers, sons and nephew all becoming police officers.
Andy enjoyed time camping and hunting with family and friends. He had a passion for Lincoln vehicles and playing poker.
Andy passed away peacefully July 3, 2023 in his hometown of Clermont Florida and is survived by his wife of 62 years Linda, brother Ron, sons Tony and Charles, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will be celebrating the life of Andy at a private event on August 1, 2023.
