Alodia was born in Havana, Cuba on October 22, 1928, to parents Jose and Elena Hernandez. She married Juan Antonio Lopez-Souto, M.D., in 1956 and moved to the United States in 1962. They initially resided in New Jersey, relocated to South Florida in 1971, and then later moved to Central Florida to be near her children and grandchildren.
Alodia is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her sons, Juan Alberto (Tasha), Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Peter Luis (Melinda), Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, John Anthony (Abby), Stephanie Nichole, Ana Christina, Victoria Elena, Allison Gayle (Hunter), Tiffany Michelle, Peter Robert Laney, and Stephen Antonio Baum; great-grandchildren, Wednesday Isla and Ronan Bishop.
A visitation for will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 1:00-3:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, followed by a gazebo service at the mausoleum.
