Skip moved to Arizona in 1950 and he has lived in the valley for the past 61 years. He was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters, and early on had also served in the Navy.
He is survived by his wife Loretta, daughter Penny Petersen, and two adopted daughters, Sandra Fidanzia, and Brandy Wilson, son Wade, sisters Carolyn Moran, Susie and Kathy Wheeler, and Connie Stump, brothers Gary, Donald and David Wheeler, granddaughters Stacy, and Shawna Wilson, grandsons Justin and Dylan Petersen, and Dustin and Tyler Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Freda Moon, and brother Ronnie Wheeler.
A Memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m at the Grace Fellowship Church 1300 N. Miller Road, Buckeye, AZ 85326 on Sunday, 6/10/12. Memorial Contributions may be sent to the church.
