Scott Jackson was born July 31, 1953, in New Hampshire. He grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts with his sisters Ellen and Pam, and his mother Theresa and stepfather Art. Scott grew up spending his days with his friends and helping his stepfather build hangars and their family home, where his mother and sister Pam still reside today. Eager to start a new life outside of Lowell, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a hull technician. He served on board the USS Forrestal as a sailor in the engineering department until 1975. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Scott headed west to start a new journey in California. After a handful of jobs, he would land a job with John and Michael at J&M Realty where he would spend the next 40 plus years working job sites all over southern California and became the company’s de facto expert handyman and maintenance tech. In the summer of 1978, he would meet his beautiful wife, Gina. They would go on to love each other for 43 amazing years. Scott and Gina moved all over California and traveled the world. Scott would spend his springs and summers as the fun uncle to his nephews Cody and Casey playing catch, camping, watching baseball, going to Disneyland and watching all the movies, all the while becoming a father figure for them both. Despite the countless moves for over four decades, Scott never failed to find friends, earn his co-workers' respect and make time for his family. Scott finally retired in 2023 and was just beginning to live his golden retirement years when he was suddenly taken from us. He is survived by his mother Theresa, his sisters Ellen, Pam, and Anne, his nieces and nephews, Megan, Aaron, Cody, Casey, Kim, Scott, Missy, and Micheal and all his adopted nieces and nephews, and of course his beautiful, loving wife Gina. Scott’s family will be holding a celebration of life at Scott and Gina’s home in Buckeye, AZ on September 14th, 2024 at noon MST. Please reach out to the family for the address.
