Rita Seetin

Rita Mireya Seetin, 80, of Peoria, passed away October 4, 2012.  She was born May 22, 1932 in Veracruz, Mexico to Antonio Ortiz Perez and Teresa Garcia.  Rita moved to Arizona 9 years ago after retiring as an OB Nurse from Kaiser Permanente Hospital in California.  Rita was foster parent while in California and touched the lives of many children.  She was also a caring and giving woman who opened her home to all through the years.

In her final years, she enjoyed the love of her dog George, a good taco and visits from all her family.

Rita is survived by her five children, Dora, Yolanda, Tom, Frank and Shawn; ten grandchildren, April, Josh, Jeremiah, Kyle, Ashley, Elizabeth, Alexander, Jenna, Kai and Aurora; 15 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Andrea, Michael S., Brandon, Nathaniel, Michael G., Dylan, Jasmine, Landon, Jayson, Brody, Sylas, Ashley Monique, and Carson; one great-great grandchild, due in January. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eliot Seetin.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm November 10th at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear with a memorial service at 10:30am.  Condolences to the family can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.
