Raymond Joseph Geniesse, Jr. of Buckeye, Arizona passed away June 25, 2024 in Buckeye, Arizona at the age of 62. He was born September 5, 1961 in National City, California to Raymond Joseph Geniesse and Yvonne Geniesse.
Raymond grew up in Long Beach, California. He relocated to Bakersfield in 1976 and attended West High School. During his fifth grade year, he attended Lakewood High School at the tender age of 11 to study Marine Biology under the GATE Program. At 19, he joined the United States Marines. "Once a marine, Always a marine!" OOHRAH! When he discharged from the military, he went to work with his dad hanging blinds which earned him the nickname "Blindman". It became his CB handle for 30 years. The nickname stuck with him when he changed careers to become a commercial driver. Over his 35-year career, Raymond drove several different types of semi tractors. Raymond was also very active on Facebook. The social media site is where he found and wooed his wife Terry. After a very short 10-month romance, Raymond proposed. They had a loving marriage and were never apart. In 2017, Raymond began to drive for Wal-Mart, and Terry rode with him through 2024.
Rest in peace, my love. Until we meet again.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father Raymond Joseph Geniesse, brother Don Lee Geniesse, and sister Desiree Geniesse. He is survived by his wife, Terry Geniesse; daughters Anneliese Flud; Vee Geniesse; and Jazz Geniesse; step-son Tyler Slusser; and his mother Yvonne Geniesse. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
The family suggests donations be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bakersfield, California.
