Pedro Arjona

Pedro Flores Arjona 94, of Avondale died Feb 19, 2013. Mr. Arjona was born Jan 29, 1918, in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Encarnacion and Romana Arjona. He spent his early years as a farmer in Mexico before migrating to the U.S. in the 1940's eventually settling in Avondale, AZ in 1963. He was preceded in death by his wife Otilia S. Arjona and his first born daughter Adelfa Nava. He is survived by five daughters, Maria-De-La-Luz Arjona Martinez of Houston, TX, Elvia Gloria Garcia of Laveen, Imelda Arjona Martinez of Houston, TX, Maria-Del-Jesus Arjona of Burley, ID, Marisela Oviedo of Avondale. He is also survived by five sons, Encarnacion Arjona of Avondale, Homero S. Arjona of Goodyear, Pete Arjona Jr of Houston, TX, Lisandro A. Arjona of Goodyear and Oscar S. Arjona of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA. He is also survived by 46 grandchildren. Visitation and a Rosary will be held Friday Feb 22 from 6-8 pm at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear. Mass will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013, 10 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Phoenix. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.  Condolences can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear.
