Mr. Octavio Moreno Ramirez, 74 of Mesa, AZ died June 20, 2016. He was born January 3, 1942 in San Ignacio, Sonora, Mexico to Augustine and Amelia Ramirez. Tavo was a mason and brick layer for over 50 years. He took pride in his work and was known for his willingness to always help others. He always welcomed company and never failed to ask how you were doing. Tavo will be remembered for his loving and easy going spirit.
Tavo is survived by his wife, Maria Anita Ramirez; daughters, Dorina Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez Rodriguez (Jaime), Mary Ann Martinez (Esteban), Sylvia Talavera (Tommy), and Irene Avila (Noah); sons, Octavio Ramirez (Dolores), Eduardo Ramirez, and Guadalupe Martinez (Maggie), six sisters, three brothers, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 9:00 am with a funeral service to follow on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 9925 W. Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ 85392.
