Mr. Paul Kirker, Sr. of Litchfield Park, Arizona passed away on December 11, 2022. He was born Lackawanna, New York on November 22, 1944 to Albert and Marjorie Kirker (nee Fitzgibbons). He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marcia Kirker, daughter, Claudette Campbell, sons, Paul Kirker, Jeff Kirker, and Matt Kirker, his brother, Robert Kirker, and his five grandchildren.
Paul grew up in Buffalo, New York. He joined the United States Army in 1963. After leaving the Army, Paul eventually ran the Palo Verde nuclear power generating station.
Paul was known as a genuine and loyal man. He made everyone feel like they were old friends. Everyone he knew called him “Papa” because of his great advice and giving spirit. He had a great sense of humor and was very quick witted. A great baker, he was known for his Peanut Butter Chocolate cake. He loved all food, just not brussel sprouts. He also loved to travel and managed to visit Ireland, Scotland, Germany, England, and France. He was fan of the Buffalo Bills, Elvis Presley, and Tom Clancy. His favorite season was “football season.” When he wasn’t watching football, he could be found golfing with his Monday golf group, singing in the St. Henry’s choir, and volunteering with the Buckeye Police Department.
Paul was a family many and role model. He was always there for his family, even when they moved all over the country. He had a huge heart for them, and would always tell them how proud he was of them. His passing brings sadness to all those whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM, Friday, December 23 at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 2PM.
