Helen Marie Szumierz, 69, of Goodyear, passed away September 23, 2012. She was born January 20, 1943 in Poland. Beloved, caring, and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother and faithful servant of God devoted to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was a terrific Beautician and a wonderful supportive happy hard working person to everyone she met in both good times and the bad. She is survived by her husband Anthony, daughters Susan and Tania, granddaughter Kylie and 2 brothers and 1 sister in Poland. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, with a 7pm Rosary, Thursday, September 27th at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd in Goodyear. Mass will be at 10am Friday September 28th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd in Avondale. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
