Irma Griggs Crecelius

Irma Griggs Crecelius entered heaven on April 3rd at the age of 99 years, just 2 months shy of her 100th birthday. Irma was born June 5th, 1917 to Lee and Grace Jones Griggs on their farm near Wyatt, MO. She lived there with her seven brothers and two sisters until she married Elijah Neil Crecelius on June 5th 1938. They lived in Mississippi county Missouri until 1962 when they moved to Arizona. Irma is survived by four brothers, Nathan Griggs of Brawley, CA, Morris, Richard and Sam Griggs of Charleston, MO; daughter, Beverly Carden of Avondale, AZ; son, Richard Crecelius of Happy Jack, AZ; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Irma was preceded in death by her husband; son, Elmer Crecelius; grandson, Vivett Neil Carden; three brothers, Leonard, Robert, and Douglas; and two sisters, Virginia Moss and Earline Manor. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Baptist Church, 8701 W Encanto Blvd, Phoenix, AZ on June 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM. Her final resting place will be the Griggs family cemetery in Wyatt, MO.
