George “Tom” James, 86, of Litchfield Park, died Jan. 22, 2013 at home. Col.(Ret) James was born June 7, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served in the military for 30 years, retiring as a Colonel from the US Army. He is survived by his wife Grace James; daughters Kathy James, Tracey James-Miller; sons Geoffrey and Timothy James; brother David James; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, January 30th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd. in Avondale, AZ. He will be interred at the National Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. In lieu of flower, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix AZ 85014.
